You simply won't find easy and effective. There are however numerous websites available with Bow making supplies,Wood Blanks of Yew Wood and Osage Orange, rough cut into Bow staves to be finished the rest of the way with hand tools. There are also countless Traditional Archery websights that will give you instructions step by step on Bow building and making arrows and bowstrings. If you want to really take the "easy" way out, buy a Bow already made. But not anywhere near a challenge to do it that way.

double bows are the easiest I know, its simply two staves bent like bows joined in the middle and on each end like two C's back to back
to start find you two saplings, one straight, one bent; trim the middles some so they'll lie flat to each other, and tie them together.it should look like a K now. bend and then tie the ends of the straight sapling together to get your traditional bow shape, now it looks like two C's. then tie the ends of both bows together, this gives you extra strength without all the curing of wood and carving down to single growth ring etc etc etc. but since you didn't do all that work it won't last as long or be as strong.

here's a site if you want to do it the long way: http://wildwoodsurvival.com/survival/hunting/bowandarrow/trm/trm3-1pg08.html
