Yes you can use it not only in Paris but also throughout the world.
However, remember that of all credit card providers, only VISA and MASTERCARD are truly recognized by merchants worldwide.
The others?, you may have difficulty. Travels checks are also fine but those are not credit cards.

It seems that you do not have a credit card but a debit card. Check with the debit card company to make sure.

Check for the star or pulse logo on the back. If they are there then you are golden. Have a good trip.

If it has a VISA or Mastercard logo on it, it should be fine, but call the company that sponsors it to be sure.
