I used to go running all the time (for exercise) but then I stopped for a really long time . Now I need to start training for soccer , but I can't run anymore ! As in I can't run for more than 30 seconds straight. And I can't just walk , I have to acctually run. Why can't I do it anymore? How can I be able to run for longer periods of time?

You gradually build up your tolerance for the running. Walk, run, walk. Get moving. In time you will be able to do this again.

im not too sure but i cant run for toffee wen im just running but wen im running in a soccer game i just forget about it. u cud take up walking for exercise and wen ur ready try going for a jog. Oh and go with friends an family so u can can tlk to them i find this a good method to take your mind of the pain. Equally u cud go to the gym and work out and ask the instructer about ur problem. hop ive helped

Slowly increase your time running, you should get your body used to it again.
