I always loved the 69---had a convertible myself.
My deer hunting friend had a 69 SS 427 convertible 4 speed ..red with a black top. hideaway headlights, A/C, Vigilite system and the SS wheels that was a real cool car and could really get up and go for a 2 ton car!! My favorite year of them all and lots of performance. 74 and 75's with a 454 were pretty cool too....a guy in high school had a 75---blue with a white vinyl roof.
Older ones were ok if you liked the body style but not my favorites.

I have owned a few of these Impalas, and when I sold them the one that brought me the most money and joy was by far the 1964 SS.
The 66 was a close second, but nothing compared to the 64.

65, 66, 67, and 68 all had the same basic body style. only their front and rear ends were different. i liked the 67 myself and over the years owned 3 of them.

64 or 69. Two different styles but the best of the line.

I like the body styling & three round rear lights of '65.
If you could find a 327 & build it, & slam a T400 trany behind it. Inspect the frame above the rear axle. We had one in the late 70'S that broke. Had a lot of fun. . .
