A great summer job is working as a lifeguard. I'm a lifeguard during the summer and get paid $12 an hour for it. During the school year, I work at an ice cream parlor for three hours after school, four days a week, and am paid $10 bucks an our. I'm not sure where you live, so I can't give you exact details, but if you look around, I'm positive that you can find something that fits your requirements. Just remember, you need to be slightly flexible.

It would have helped if you let us know what state you live in. Okay, under federal law,you have to be sixteen to work in most non farm jobs. One of your parents will have to with you to the school counselor or to your school district administration office and ask for a Workers Permit Application.
The parent fills it out and signs it,then mails it to your State Department of Labor or State Employment Commission.
Once you get your permit, you must turn in a photo copy of your permit with each application you make. Also get to the Department of Motor Vehicles with your birth certificate and Social Security card to get a photo I.D. made.
One last thing. We all had to start somewhere and at your age, welcome to the wonderful world of fast food. Good luck.

Before 18, I worked at a town and country market that hired baggers. It was decent pay but typically physically demanding. Nonetheless, I had fun because I made lots of friends and ended up working there as a checker. Starting in commercial businesses can really benefit your future career.

if you're old enough there are jobs like of course working in fast food restaurants, babysitting, convenience store, supermarket or department stores
If you're a little too young for those how about going round your neighbourhood and offering small odd jobs like walking dogs, lawns or painting say fences or paper delivery
all depends on how hard and often you want to work and what your age limit will allow you to do.

Any local supermarket will provide great jobs for young teenagers and they are really good about working around your school schedule. They wont make you work late and they understand that it most likely will not be a permenant job.

Baby sitting, of course. Plus you could always do chores for other people (cleaning, laundry, etc.) for pay...but you'd still be doing chores.
