Deanxit is prescribed for depression and/or anxiety.

Social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia, is the fear of being embarrassed in front of others or the fear of dealing with normal day to day social activities. It is usually related to excessive self-consciousness.

A panic attack is an episode of intense terror. Often the person has no idea what brought it on. She/he may experience a racing heart, trouble breathing, sweating, trembling, nausea, dizziness, chest pain, throat pain and the fear that he/she is dying.

The main difference between the two is that those having a panic attack think their symptoms are physically based so they seek medical attention. In the case of social anxiety, the person knows that he/she is experiencing extreme anxiety and that it is irrational so will not seek medical help.

The other difference is that social anxiety is a phobia of social situations (and dealing with people) while a panic attack can occur anywhere, anytime with or without others being involved.

Your doctor ordered the deanxit to help give better control over your anxiety from these two disorders.
