That would be 'Curly ' and 'Larry', from The Three Stooges...
who would stubbornly go against the authority of their older leader and bully, Moses Horowitz. ('Mo Howard') Curly ended up stuck in the concrete and Larry ended up in a 20-foot-deep hole in the ground....while searching for a water cut-off.
