Not a bunch of doctors,is it not God's will that the Pope gets ill?

I'm not Catholic but I would suppose the Pope gets a doctor when he's sick because he's not stupid. That's like asking why don't we just let God download the Bible directly into our minds. That's not the way He designed the world. We have to read the Bible and learn through study and prayer. It takes our personal action based on our desire. Same way with medicine. God has blessed us with many intelligent doctors. Why wouldn't we use them?

Hold the physician in honor, for he is essential to you, and God it was who established his profession. From God the doctor has his wisdom, and the king provides for his sustenance. His knowledge makes the doctor distinguished, and gives him access to those in authority. (Sirach 38:1-3)
It is also God's will that some people have the gift of healing and we are to use these gifts that God has given us.
