My female dog is in season for the third time and she is weeing all over the place no matter how many times we take her for walks.

We thought she might have had an water infection, so we took her to the vets and he said she hasn't........

It is getting out of control she is weeing all over the house, does anybody have any ideas what is going on??????

Thought i would mention we haven't had her spayed as in the future we are planning on breeding her, so that isn't an option

She is simply 'marking' in the hope of attracting a male!
by her third season she is really fit and 'ready to go' and you should watch her carefully as she may well try and break out to find a mate - have known girls go over a six foot wall at the correct time. For help, try putting her on Evening Primrose Oil which will help settle her hormones down and the other thing - don't laugh - they actually do make sani knickers for dogs! mainly intended to stop any staining but would probably help in your case as it is doubtful she would wee whilst wearing them. MUST still take her out as often as pos. though, or she will be uncomfortable. You should be able to buy them from Pets at Home or somewhere similiar. best of luck, hope this helps

Is there a reason why you have not gotten the dogs spayed? This will solve the problem as well as extend your dogs life. Spaying your dog eliminates the possibility of uterine or ovarian cancer and greatly reduces the incidence of breast cancer and many other illnesses. If you do not want to go through this everytime she goes into heat, get her spayed.

It's probably her idea of scent marking (it is wee for sure?) Get her some pants that you can buy from most pet shops. It'll stop anything else leaking and will deter her from weeing as well.

She is doing this as she is marking. If you are not planning on breeding her, I would go ahead and get her spayed.

You must arrange for suitable mate for her. Your vet may be of great help to procure a suitable match.

do you have male dogs in your house?
maybe she's leaving her scent for them to know she's in season.

Totally normal behavior. Get her fixed and she will never do it again.
