You could try the Information Commissioners Office - they deal with unwanted spam phone calls, which this is.

I think you'll have to get the number blocked, which you can do but I think you have to pay for that. It's pure spam and the TPS and BT really don't seem to give a t*ss. Try leaving the phone off the hook when they call, it will take them about 15 minutes to clear the line at their end. If you try to outdo them in the annoyance factor stakes maybe they'll steer clear of you?

Start by filing a complaint with the phone company, and follow their recommendations. Whatever you do, don't press any of the numbers that the message requests

I just hate that telemarketers have resorted to machines phoning. I figure if you're gonna bug me in my own home, you can at least have the decency to have a real person call. That way I have someone to yell at. lol
sorry, don't know how to fix the prob. It's a prob here too!

I sometimes get it from my internet provider, they ring me and i'm put in a queue. I just put the phone down, if they dont have the decency to have speak to me in person then i let them ring me when I can speak to an human being.
If you go to www.saynoto0870.com
Its a website that gives altenative numbers to 0870/0844/45 and 0800 numbers.

If you recently just changed your number, you probably have one that wasn't registered in that opt-out service. did you register your new number too?
