It had a clean bill of health when we had it, and all the other pup's are ok.
my dog had a litter of 8 and all the other seem to be fine.
He wants to us to pay all vet bill's what do we do?

Really a sad situation. Of course the mere fact of moving the puppy would not make it sick.

Your first priority should be the puppy: tell the man on the channel island that you want the puppy back and will give him his puppy purchase money back. No puppy, no money back.

Have him take the puppy to the vet and leave it there, whether the poor little thing is still alive or not. Also have him leave, with the vet, a written statement that he is giving you the puppy back and it is yours. After it is at the vet, go pick it up (if still alive). Tell the man and the vet you will pay for that treatment and boarding. Pay the man his puppy purchase price only if you get the puppy back in your arms. Then you can take care of the puppy yourself (take him to the vet) and with any luck sell him to a better home in the future.

This is the kind of thing that can happen with any litter. Good reason not to breed unless you are into showing dogs. Pet animals should never be considered a mere commodity. I am glad to see you are getting the mom spayed. Accidents can happen all too quickly.

Don't let this man twist you around if he says: first give me the money then I will take it to the vet. He may try to manipulate you. Do not threaten the man, or tell him what you are going to do (because he may harm the puppy) but in that case call the Island's Animal Control Officer or the police and tell them that possible animal abuse is going on. In fact, if the man refuses to take care of the puppy, or threatens the puppy if you don't do what he wants, I would call animal control or the police in any event.

Poor little puppy. People, be careful who you sell to, and don't breed just to make a few bucks. You are morally responsible for what happens to the little lives you bring into the world, and for all their offspring, if the people buying your puppies breed them.

Here the law of"buyer beware"is applicable. Before purchasing the pup,it was the responsibility of the purchaser to ascertain whether the pup will homogenize with the climate of channel island or not. Since you have sold the pup in good health, the question of paying vets bill does not arise.

You have to be a bit more specific. What is wrong with the pup? Did you contact this mans vet? How long has he had this puppy? Did this puppy have 2 vaccines before you let it go with this man? Even if you only had one litter of pups and sold them, you still have to live up to a 72 hour guarantee on them. By the way, you CAN NOT sell puppies on eBay!

you need to find out what the problem is and have tehm mail you teh vet records if it's something the vet feels is from before teh pup left for a new home it's often your responsability check teh laws in your area where I live you takehave 10 days to take the pup to the vet and if the vet finds it unhealthy say parvo or genetic problem you have 3 choices 1) return the pup and get another,2) return the pup and get your money back,3) keep the pup and attempt to cure but only get up to the purchase price of the pup
Any of these have to be backed up by a vet note or at least a call from the vet

it does not hurt to move a pup a long distance. i have a friend who sells puppies on ebay and they go all over the world.however it does depend on the circumstances of how the pup was moved for example was there other animals around the pup when it was moved cause if one of them were sick it would make the pup sick also dont pay anything until ou find out the reason of the pups sickness. the vet can tell you if it was from when the pup was born or when it became sick. tell him you want the vets address and phone number and contact them yourself..good luck

Well, I don't know this guy, but hopefully he's done nothing to the pup. But puppies can catch stuff fairly easily, such as Parvo (I really hope it's not that). If he wants you to pay the vet bills, he needs to produce receipts and to tell you *what* is wrong.

No, moving a pup to another location won't make it sick. Has he been taking care of the puppy? Did he get it vaccinated, or is he even feeding it everyday? Unless you have a contract, you won't be forced to pay for the puppy's vet bills.

are you passing yourself off as a breeder? If so, most breeders will guarantee their puppies. They also check the buyers to make sure it's a suitable home.

If you are an amatuer breeder, please for the love of god get out of the business and get your animal spayed. It just isn't fair to bring animals in to this world to suffer and die. There are too many animals without homes as it is. Don't add to that.

Maybe you could try to contact the vet to see what is wrong with the puppy, then you can have an idea whether it was your fault or not.

make sure he is for real!!

shipping a puppy over to a new home wont make him sick, and chances are if all the other pups are ok this one will be too.

if it was fine when you had it then it cant be your fault.
