I hate my cousin so badly!?

i hate my cousin khoa, she is ******* rude to me and she say stuff about me.And what can i do?I dont want to fight with her because i fight with her like a million times.She ask for my stuff and i say yah but when i ask her back she say no.She always tell me to do this and that.All the time what can i do???

This is tough because she is family and maybe just staying away is not that easy an option. Maybe you can try being calm with her eg. say - no, I won't lend you that thing because you have not given back these other things I lent you (and don't get into a fight about it, or if you lend it to her, make a set arrangement for getting it back that your and her parents know about too); and when she is bossy say calmly no, I don't want to do that etc. If she is rude and says things about you, try not to react as that is probably part of why she does it. Maybe also if it comes to buying her a birthday present, you can ask your folks to get her something that you know she would otherwise be looking to take of yours. Maybe she is like this because she wants attention or is jealous or feels insecure compared to you. Good luck with it, hope it works out (you are lucky to have cousins actually, and hopefully down the track things improve and you are closer). Family is important.

Hate is a strong word. It's also very unhealthy to hate. I understand how you feel. My cousin is the most prissy person you ever met in your life and also a control freak. I cannot stand her. Max posted a comment saying a cousin is "family". Funny but I don't think of any of my cousins as "family". They are my relatives. My real family is my spouse and kids, and also my Mom & Dad, brothers and sisters. I don't see a cousin as all that much "family" but I guess some people do. They may have the same blood and all, but family to me are the people you live with and who really love and care about you. I would advise counseling if you cannot get along with your cousin. Maybe you can try "killing her with kindness" as the old saying goes. Try to avoid fighting. Talk things out instead. Good Luck.

First of hate is such a bad word, that's not cool to say specially not about family but I understand your frustrations there is no problem disliking family members, but I look at it like this if you know that you dislike your cousin don't associate with her I'm not saying turn your back on her or nothing like that all I'm saying spend the least time possible with her and when she asks you for something tell her no and when she asks why you say no just tell her that when you need something she don't let yo borrow it and until she can prove to you that she has changed by letting you borrow her stuff then you won't let her borrow your stuff. Remember fighting doesn't resolve anything all it does is bring more problems in the long run fighting is for people that don't think before they act. All you have to do is respect your cousin and that is all is asked of you so good luck and wish you the best.
