First let me say that everyone believes themselves to be good. Even criminals plotting their next crime think themselves to be basically good. What this tells us is that unless there is some standard for good, we will adjust the standard until we fit under it. So if we reject God, everyone is good.

Secondly, does being good include a motive for good deeds? Let's say I do my good deeds because I fear society's disapproval if I don't. Or let's say I do my good deeds because I love the real and imagined praise I get. Are those acceptable motives? Normally we wouldn't think much of someone who acted from fear or from love of reward.

A good person does the right thing for the right reason.

Of course not. That would mean that the billions of others on the planet who have differeny beliefs or none at all are all evil in some way and this would not make sense. You have to decide what standards you set for yourself and try to follow this code and be the best person you can and try to contribute to society in a positive way, not necessarily on a grand scale but by the small kindnesses that one can do.

Ghandi wasn't Christian. Neither was Albert Einstein, or the Dalai Lama. So no, you do not have to believe in God to be a good person.

What human think is good, God sees as not good.

Your believe in God doesn't make you a good person. Someone can be a good person and does not believe in God.

When you believe God, you love God. You follow His rules by love and fear of Him. Isn't it nicer that you are a good person according to God's perspectives rather than human's perspectives.

Of course not. I'm a good person and I think Gods are mythical. If anything, it makes you intelligent enough to determine truth from fiction, not good from bad.
