Mum and 3 kids. My son is driving me mad. The question is what can we do today. Anyone got any ideas? Thank you!!

I don't know what area you are in but around here there a lot of fall festivals going on. That's what we are doing today.
Other than that you could go for a bike ride or a hike. Tire the kids out and they won't have as much energy.
Do a puzzle together. This always keeps my kids occupied and teaches them about working together towards a common goal.
I hope you find something that works well for your group, because bored cooped up kids can seriously drive you batty.

Hey. So you're telling us you're the dad?
Ok. Firstly, you need to know that having a fun time with your family need NOT be necessary going out and spending those precious money. you can, stay in your own house/apartment and have tons of fun with your family. for example, cooking together, watching tv together, reading together or play any indoor games together.
you can also plan a budget-ed outing. which obviously, doesn't cost a bomb. bring them go shopping, site seeing, or visit another state.
ask your kids and 'mum' what THEY wanna do today. if all are different. try doing them all in one day. or rather, take turns to do them.

The parks a good start, maybe have a picnic...make a proper day of it (and its not to expensive).
Depnding on their age..a trip to the cinema....kills a couple of hours.
A trip to see some family...they will b pleased to see the kids and would probably take full advantage of them being there and will want to spend as much time with them as poss...leaving you with some free time.
Or...a family movie time...get some popcorn..camp out on the floor...maybe set up a tent. Children love that kind of thing.

Play hiding-seek around the house, or let them do the washing all on their own (With secret supervision!) Play I spy with them or show them how to plant bulbs or flowers in the yard. Let them clean the windows on their own or use mums vacuum cleaner to clean the house.

go to the zoo, go to the library, go swimming, go to a pet store, do a craft. Go to some thrift stores and give them all a little money to spend. Help an elderly neighbor, check out your community calendar and see if anything else is going on. Clean.... Make it fun...wash the cars together....
