you can by a large aluminim pan and add powdered watersoftner in it. It will create a chemical reaction and automatically change the dark back to silver. you also can line a pan with aluminum foil and that will work to woks great for small inticate items and to small of places to polish.

Silver polish, tarnx, toothpaste will clean the oxidation from silver.
