I won't mention who I'm referring to here. I think we all know. But I'm sorry but I don't see many questions trashing what they beleive in? Unless it is an answer to their question.

Well Paul C I have been married twice. And have a nice girlfriend so what are you saying?
And justme I didn't mention the religion I'm referring to in my question. Because I didn't think I had to.

They are simply pointing the finger at others in an attempt to get the attention off themselves so their flaws are not so visible..

Yes. We all know (or should know) of whom you are referring.
They have been doing it for a couple of thousand years. They denounced the Jews, and murdered them if they didn't convert. Yet they worship a Jew? Huh?
They are doing the same thing today. Scare tactics, via threats of a firey and eternal non-death. Today it is an issue of money mostly. The more they can corrupt, the bigger and better homes they can buy, mansions, yachts, planes, businesses.
That is the reason they denounce other religions. You have to brainwash and frighten people, or they won't give you their hard-earned cash.
The Jim Jones syndrome.

They're called "hypocrites". Imagine! Trashing on other folks who believe in the same savior! I think there is something written about that in the Bible...maybe those people should read it instead of beating other Christians down.

Easy.
They don't like anything unfamiliar (or worse slightly similar but with obvious differences (like the Catholics)).
Anything not their personal version if Xity MUST be the Devil thus justifying the most heinous acts to purge from the planet.
{OH yeah & waiting for my thumbs down now}
Shame that they fail to realise just how small their personal group is in the Global picture.

I can't answer for other people, but as a Christian who believes what the Bible teaches I respect other people who hold different beliefs because we are all created in God's image.
In fact, I respect them so much that I am willing to let them think ill of me by telling them what Jesus said in the hope that they might realize that whatever earthly benefits their belief system might have, unless it includes trusting in Jesus it will have an eternal penalty that will far outweigh whatever good it might have brought into their lives while they were here on earth.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

The problem is with faith-based 'belief' itself... the internalized certainty that one's ideas represent the 'truth' pertaining to vital matters of existence and reality.
These type of beliefs get internalized, and become a part of one's 'self-description'... a set of filters which interpret input from the world and create one's 'subjective reality' as its output. Any time these 'truths' (delusions) are questioned or challenged, it is perceived as a direct assault upon the 'self'... a vital threat to one's own 'existence'... and one responds accordingly.
The only way to 'evolve' (change, over time) spiritually (self-realization) is to embark on a systematic effort to modify or eliminate those internal filters which comprise the self-description...
* misconceptions (eliminate)
* prejudices (eliminate)
* beliefs (eliminate)
* knowledge base (modify)
* experiential reference (recapitulate)
The best way to proceed with this is to identify anything in your brain that resembles a 'belief', and stamp it out like a cockroach... or, if it has some potentially useful content, simply re-label it as a 'paradigm'... a useful way of thinking about something... and re-file it as a 'possibility', rather than as a 'belief'.
'Faith' (magical, wishful thinking) is a lame and pathetic substitute for 'evidence'.
Faith-based 'belief' (the internalized certainty that you are privy to the 'truth' pertaining to vital aspects of existence and reality) is a lame and pathetic substitute for 'knowledge'... in fact, it is the ILLUSION of knowledge.
Faith + belief ---> Self-delusion and willful ignorance.
'Belief' is an insidious mind-killer... it cuts one off from the open-minded and intellectually honest (willing to actively question and doubt one's own assumptions) consideration of alternative possibilities.
Imagine Mr. Mackey, the counselor, on South Park: "Bleeefs are baaaaddd... m'kay?"

trashing other religion will make their religion more real. simple as that .
if i have a weapon , and i am trying to tell people my weapon is a better one.
would you think it's better to demonstrate to them the prowness of my weapon ? like showing the damage and distance it can go ?
or is it better if i show them how weak their primitive tool is ?
of course , if i know my weapon arent any stronger than yours , i can only keep reminding you your weapon is weak and so on . and if you agree with me , i will also think my weapon is stronger right ?

It is a matter of pride if you want to call it that. I call it smear campaign in a vain attempt at getting people to convert to their religion.
