To prevent it, drink at least one or more litres of water a day. Take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and you won't get kidney stones. When you have it already, drink as much water as you can, even to the point where you feel you're gonna burst. It will let drive the stones through.

I have been plagued by them for the past twenty years. The last time I had an attack was two years ago. At that time the doctor suggested I drink lots of lemonade. It seems to be working, but who knows. I personally think that the calcium in carbonated drinks is the problem, because I used to drink lots of diet soda and very little water.

Eat and drink what DOESN'T cause your Kidney's to produce stones. My urologist suggested that I drink lots of lemonade (citric acid) to dissolve the crystals that form the stones . I did and now there are no longer crystals forming in my urine.

The answer is universal. Water. Tap water is fine. You are most likely drinking a ton of coffee and soda and eating a bunch of restaurant (salty) food. You get dehydrated and over-mineralized and the crystals form. Then you pray for death. But death illudes you. It is very hard for Americans to maintain a healthy diet because food and snacks are so abundant. Drink a lot of water, knock off the coffee, alcohol, sodas and restaurant food. That lemonade suggestion, is just a myth.

Drink tomato juice and make tomato-based soups. Ear that 4-5 times a week and the acidity of the tomatoes will help disolve the kidney stones.
And, drink plenty of WATER--not soda, coffee, sweetened drinks, carbonated drinks, etc. WATER.

Do you honestly do what your doctor says?
Drink at least 64 oz of water a day, but if you're having real trouble, drink more water!
Also, if you drink a lot of green tea, it'll help with metabolism
