I was in this vegan Chinese restaurant and they had vegan goose and vegan duck on the menu. Have you ever tried that stuff and what did it really taste like?

and what do you think it's made from?

i would have assumed it is made of tofu or soy, it would probably taste very similar, if youve ever tried the ham or anything it tastes exactly the same

At the places I've gone to that have veggie duck, it's made of tofu skins pressed together into chunks. I've only had veggie duck at one place, as an appetizer, and it was pretty good. The way it was prepared, it had a sort of smokey flavor.

it's made of soybean curd skins or gluten (from wheat) & would taste moist, mild & savory - i doubt anyone would confuse it with the real meat,
but it is not a bad product at all: not especially greasy or fibrous ... you should try it!!
