I'm trying to stop eating meat for good but I find myself going to a deli and getting a hoagie or making sandwiches from meat. I need suggestions on how to avoid these things.

Go on a shopping spree and buy all vegetarian products. Then there won't be the chance to slip up at home :)

And get rid of your meat products at home, either eat it before you convert fully or donate it, please don't throw any out, enough crap goes into our dumps!

Well, you have to break the cycle of addiction. Does your deli have a veggie sandwich? Try ordering that. If you make deli sandwiches at home, buy the veggie deli slices. Buy veggie burgers. If you don't like one type you try, experiment until you find a brand and a flavor you like. A number of chains even have a veggie burger you can order.

It takes some willpower, but once you get through the first few times ordering a vegetarian sandwich or making a vegetarian meal, it gets easier and easier.

There are tofu based deli meats. Tofukey, fake salami, etc. Try some of those.

Just THINK before you buy meat or make a sandwich!!!! it will eventually become natural. Just keep stopping before you eat and asking yourself "What can I eat?"

you just need to break your food as convenience cycle. plan you meals and then go grocery shopping. when you take time out of your day to make a meal you will start appreciating it more and develop a want for food that tastes good and then you will stear clear of convenience food that tastes like a chewable flip flop. putting a little food prep ritual back in your day makes a big difference -- and it saves you from 30 minutes of brain rot in front of your tv.
