What the heck is a promethazine inhaler? Promethazine is an antinausea agent. It does not come in inhaler form.

You may be referring to an albuterol inhaler, which is used for asthmatics. And considering that smoke can be an irritant and trigger for many with asthma, then yes -- an albuterol inhaler may be needed.
