so i am 90% SURE that i didnt have an outbreak when i had sex the other night, but now i have one. the day after.. do you think my partner got it? he wore protection. but how much are the chances that he got it from me?

Unfortunately, condoms aren't 100% effective in preventing the spread of STDs, especially ones that can be contracted by DIRECT skin to skin contact like herpes and HPV.
Even if your partner was wearing a condom, it's ONLY covering his penis and NOT his entire genital area. So, just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex is enough to spread the virus.
I personally contracted genital herpes from protected sex with a guy who was showing no signs or symptoms of the virus. So, even with the use of condoms it's still possible to spread the virus.
HOPEFULLY your partner did not contract the virus, but there really is no way to know for sure unless he gets tested or has an outbreak within a few weeks. I'd suggest he visit the doctor within the next few weeks and get tested just to make sure.

If he really use protection you shouldn't worrier as much but if you have an STD you should really tell your parttern.No sex is safe sex.there a big chance he can get from you.
