cheese pastries.do they have to be brown on the top when ready?.last night i baked them so and they were a bit hard.but i do not know if it is not brown if it is raw!

they need to be brushed with melted butter or margarine bake them till they are golden colored...Right out of the freezer in a pre greased cookie sheet, preheat the oven at 375 and bake them for about 35 minutes! The cheese pastries are called tiropites!

did you brush a little olive oil or butter on the tops before baking? if not they wont brown and they wont get that crunchy texture, they will be fully cooked and turn hard but they will be ok to eat.

try brushing on some melted butter. when golden brown pop them out.
