To me, that is wrong. It's almost like they're encouraging you to have sex. They should try to encourage you all to not have sex until later in life or after marriage.

Absolutely NOT.

It's a scary but true fact that the highest incidences of STDs occur in the teenage and young adulthood years. By distributing condoms, I think that schools are attempting to be proactive and teach kids that STDs can happen to anyone...that STDs know no boundries. I also support sexual education that goes beyond pregnancy. In depth classroon study about STDs should be a mandatory part of any high school cirriculum.

It's not just about pregnancy anymore. It hasn't been for years. Kids need to learn and know how to protect themselves and how to take responsibility for their own sexual health.

I don't believe that passing out free condoms encourages teens to have sex sooner. Condoms or not, it's going to happen. The least we can do as adults is encourage SAFE SEX. There is nothing we can do to stop teens from sexual experimentation. We CAN, however, with free condoms, reduce the number of cases of STDs and pregnancy in teens.

So...yes, I support it...100%.

Hell yes, I have never heard of this. It is like handing candy out to children for free. This is stupid, they are like giving a have sex free ticket right there without talking to the whole group about sex and the emotional ties to it. You can't just send them out into the world with a condom pinned to their shirt, wishing them the best of luck. I really do think that the school system sucks at providing their students real information about sex. They only include the physical properties, and not the all important ones like waiting to have sex until you know what the hell you are doing and who you are doing it with, and also what diseases they might have. They so lack the integrity to really talk about sex...it is a closed end discussion with students, because they really don't want to raise their hands and ask embarrassing questions. But passing out condoms...might as well give out flight instructions to someone who has never flown before and is about to fly a 747 to Tokyo and not telling them that the plane could actually crash. Public Schools, once again show us that there is something wrong within them.

i agree to this practice because really over 40% of tha world has hiv/aids, 40% of 7 billion ppl? i think every high school should have this day like once a month maybe twice, b/c STDs are a BIG issue these times, so there really isnt a problem with trying to help, my school doesnt do that, b/c they suck at being teachers there only there for the money these days

i think this is a great idea b/c had we had something like this for our HS maybe not every girl you looked at would be pregnant or already have a baby. That's awsome that your school is trying to help you all out. They are not condoning you all having sex i'm sure but if you are going to have sex that's the least they can help do.

At least they are doing something. I bet your parents never honestly explain the facts of life to you. I also would bet they do not know themselves.

Will you use the condoms if you take some?

Would having them make you much more apt to have sex?

Sure better than doing nothing.

My dad always said, a lock don't keep crooks out, it just keeps honest people honest.

Passing out condoms to kids just puts the thought of sex in their mind. If they were not hinking about it before they were given a condom, they are thinking of it after they get it.

Think about it, when you were a kid and got a new toy, what did you want to do with it? You open the damn thing and play with it right away. Same thing with giving a kid a condom, they will want to use it.

I agree with it. Being from the south where schools are forbidden to offer advice on safe sex practices, I am a firm believer that teaching abstinence is not working and actually causing more teenagers to get pregnant or worse, a disease.

I think it is great, there are kids having sex with others and not using condoms cause they are to nervious or what not to go buy them. It is better to be safe then sorry. If they are going to have sex would rather have them safe. Thats just my 2 cents.

I dont think its wrong, a large majority of people lose their virginity during their high school years maybe even grammar school. Protect yourself and share your knowledge...there are too many things out there.
