Teancum was great. So were Nephi (more than one was great), Captain Moroni, Sam, Alma, Mormon, Helaman, Moroni, and others. So valiant, faithful, strong, and brave.

I'm going to have to go with Jesus as my favorite person in the Book of Mormon. Now there is a perfect person, worthy of emulation in every way.

Teancum IS the man! He is so cool!

And it's not enough that he just walked into to the leaders tent and killed him, you have to remember that he must of had to walk through the ENTIRE Lamanite camp just to get to that tent.

AND THEN he actually put his name on the note just telling the lamanites to come assasinate him, but I don't think any of them would try, since he did kill their powerful leader.

I don't really have a favorite. They are ALL freaking awesome. Nephi forgiving his older brothers even when they almost killed him. Sam for also putting up with them. Enos for praying in the woods for 24 hours to find out the truth. Abinadi for standing up to King Noah. Alma for listening to Abinadi. Alma the Younger for having such an awesome conversion and staying true with it til death. Ammon for all the cool stuff he did. Captain Moroni of course. Mormon, for being the only person (besides his son of course) that died with the truth in that last terrible battle. Moroni for wandering.... alone.... for 20 years and never once losing his faith.

They're all so great, and I didn't even name them all. And did you know that Jesus is referenced about even more than the new testament itself in the book of mormon?

I dont believe I ever heard of the Teancum.
If you want my favorite BOM person, it would have to be 3 Nephi where it says that if a lamanite truly repents, his skin will turn white. I take it that the Mormons in Africa didn't truly repent according to this verse.

Too many to try and mention. But Pahoran is great due to his ability to manage his anger and speak with poise and restraint when being chewed out by Captain Moroni.

I've always been a fan of Sam, Nephi's brother. He was humble enough to follow his younger brother as a prophet. He was so humble that he didn't even get a tribe named after him. You read about Nephites, Lamanites, Jacobites, Josephites, Ishmaelites, but no Samites.

2 Ne. 4:11 And after he had made an end of speaking unto them, he spake unto Sam, saying: Blessed art thou, and thy seed; for thou shalt inherit the land like unto thy brother Nephi. And thy seed shall be numbered with his seed; and thou shalt be even like unto thy brother, and thy seed like unto his seed; and thou shalt be blessed in all thy days.
