How long does it take to see the signs of genital herpes after you have been exposed to it? Does it lie dormant for a long time and come out or is it a quick timing disease?

Most people experience their first outbreak anywhere from 2 - 20 days after being infected with the virus.

However, EVERYONE is different. Some people can go months and even years before they ever experience their first outbreak.

I personally had my first outbreak about a week and 1/2 after I was exposed to the virus.

Take care!

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

It very much depends on the person. Generally speaking it will come out within 2-5 days, however it can lay dormant for years and for that reason they say that you can never be 100% sure who gave you the virus unless you have only ever had one partner.

Some people carry the virus and never get any physical symptoms - however they can still pass the virus despite having no symptoms. It is estimated that only 20% of people that carry genital herpes actually know they have the virus.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentHERPES2015Wgeg

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Signs of herpes tend to develop within 3-7 days of skin-to-skin contact with an infected person. Herpes infections look like small blisters or ulcers (round areas of broken skin) on the genitals. Each blister or ulcer is typically only 1-3 millimeters in size, and the blisters or ulcers tend to be grouped into "crops." Usually the blisters form first then soon open to form ulcers. Herpes infections may be painless or slightly tender. In some people, however, the blisters or ulcers can be very tender and painful.

Hard to say for sure because the data reflects the average outbreak...plenty of people have outbreaks much later (or have subclinical outbreaks - which means they get sores - but they are too small and don;t hurt - so they are missed).

Your doctor can do a swab for genital hepres.

Can't count on the results - if positive - you have it.
If negative - you may still have it - but you may not be actively shedding the virus.
