Everyone has great ideas for food. I love the picnic on the tablecloth in the middle of the room idea. What about setting up candles all around the bathroom, bringing a bath bomb/bubbles, your cd player, etc..and having a romantic bubble bath together. If he has any fantasy's you haven't indulged yet, this might be the time to just go for it.

Whatever you decide, just don't have "expectations" of how the time will go in your head. Most guys do like it simple and aren't so much into the romance, so if you can be casual and not get upset if he doesn't respond the way you think he should.

For me, it would even be fun to bring along some cards or two person games, rent some new movies, bring your favorite foods, music, etc...and just use it as total "couple time".

Keep it really simple and easy. You aren't going to want to spend a lot of time cooking on your romatic weekend. For breakfast a good bagel, cream cheese, lox and sliced red onion. Or a good quality artisnal bread, with flavored butter. Perhaps some fresh chopped scallions or chives. Perhaps some cheese or cured meats with it. Serve with fresh fruit and mimosas.

Keep the same thing in mind for dinner. In a sautee pan soften some garlic and onions. Then add 1 can of diced tomatoes. Let this simmer for 10 minutes. Then add some seafood to it. I like to add my clams first, then some shrimp and scallops. At the end toss in some angel hair. Top with fresh ripped basil and parm cheese with a simple salad and bread. It's good with a dry white. Actually if your comfortable, add about 1/4 c. of wine after you soften the garlic and onions. It will add another depth of flavor to your sauce. Just let it simmer for about 12 minutes before you add the seafood.

For a quick easy dessert heat some nutella up in the mic for less than a minutes, just until it gets warm and more liquid. Dip fresh strawberries in it.

A bottle of wine, of course! For breakfast, a simple omelet, toast and juice will do. For dinner, a juicy steak and salad. I would also bring along some candles, maybe to use at night when you both are taking a "bubble bath" together!!! Have fun.

oh lucky you! Gawd that sounds good. How's about doing the candle, fruit tray, and some really really good snacks. And whatever you do..no heavy dinner. Just a steak or maybe a Chinese take out...sit around the candles, nice picnic table cloth on the floor. And I know guys don't like a lot of flowers but they do tend to like one single rose...go for it and hope you and he enjoy....Shar

make something simple for breakfast like a fritatta or have mini bagels. you could do a yogurt parfait with granola and yogurt with fresh fruit.

dinners, either go out if you can afford it or cook steak or chicken. Make sure you have the cookware first before you plan your menu.

Show up naked and bring beer. He'll think you're very romantic and went to a lot of trouble.
