Before I was born, my father slept with someone and got herpes without knowing it.
Then he gave it to my mom. Not sure how long, but after that I was born.
I sometimes get random cold sores on my lip, like i'll wake up and there will be a bump. None down there though..
I am not sexually active either.
Could I have inherited it from them?
Or would I have to be tested to be 100% sure?

Cold sores are almost always contracted by being kissed by someone who has them or by sharing a drink, lip stick, chap stick, cigarette, etc, with someone who has cold sores. Most people get cold sores from when they are real young by being kissed by another relative who has cold sores like their mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandparents, etc.

Also, genital herpes is NOT inherited like green eyes or curly hair. Herpes can be passed to a baby as it is coming through the birth canal if the mother is having an ACTIVE outbreak at the time of delivery. The baby can come in contact with the herpes sores which could cause it to contract the virus. Neonatal herpes simplex basically looks like a rash all over the baby. It is extremely painful for the baby and it's about 25% fatal.

You might have contracted cold sores from simply being kissed by someone who has them. They are NOT inherited. Cold sores are extremely common. It's estimated about 75 - 80% of the world has them. It's more common to have them then to not have them!

If you are really concerned you can always get tested. Being tested for herpes is just a blood test, or a swab sample of fluid from the sores if you have any present. Good luck and take care!

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 6 years back, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know loads of young ladies will declare this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/tmF10 everything changed.

Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a crowded cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentsHERPES2o155bRY

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

No. Babies who are born to a mother with genital herpes are born with their skin blistered away with herpetic lesions, and they die.
Cold sores are blister like, happen at the corners of your mouth, and hurt. They don't generally present as 'bumps'.
Why don't you see a doctor and find out for sure if they are cold sores (herpes simples 1, generally.) If they are, there is an excellent over-the- counter remedy called carmex.
Cold sores happen, kind of like s@#t happens.
Quit worrying yourself and take some positive action.
