Fish is not in the slightest bit vegetarian, i really dont get how people can get confused as to whether its meat or not, its meat.
i decided about a year ago to be proper vegetarian, up until i only ate white meats for quite a few years.
it was hard for the first month or so, i kept wanting to eat chicken, but after a while you get over it.
now i couldn't eat meat even if i wanted too, i find the fat to be gross and it makes me retch. i accidentally bit into a meat samosa that was supposed to be vegetarian and i nearly threw up :/
just talk to you r parents about it, im sure they can work out a way to make you some good soups still, i like vegetarian tom yum, that stuff is great.
if they make the meat and have it separate then everyone can have meat if they want or not.
Good Luck : )

A vegetarian is a person who does not eat animal flesh or slaughterhouse by products. Some eat eggs and dairy and some don't. There are no other variations despite what you are told. Being a vegetarian is a lifestyle and either you commit or you don't. Even if you eat very little meat, you still would not be a vegetarian.
Vegetarians eat a varied diet of Grains, veggies, fruits, nuts, legumes/pulses and as i stated above...some include dairy and eggs.

Ovo-lacto (or lacto-ovo) vegetarians eat no animal flesh, including that of sea creatures, but will eat dairy and eggs.
Lactovegetarians consume no animal flesh and no eggs, but will consume dairy.
Ovovegetarians--that's eggs.
Vegans consume no animal products whatsoever. This includes, animal flesh, dairy and its byproducts, anything with eggs, honey, beeswax, etc. In addition, they will not buy clothing with silk, wool, leather, or fur. They will not buy products from companies that engage in animal testing or products with animal ingredients. Vegan is a lifestyle, not just a diet.
Watch out for gelatin, as it's made with the hooves, bones, and hides of cows and pigs. Some cheeses are made with rennet (a salt made from the fourth stomach of calves). So if you're going to be a lactoveg, make sure you find cheeses that don't have rennet.
Maybe your folks could make some vegetarian broths and make the great dishes with tofu instead of meat. If you're willing to work with your parents and help cook some of the food, maybe you'll be able to get more vegetarian meals.

in basic terms save some straight forward suggestions in suggestions - do you already know how dairy cows are compelled to stay with a view to offer your milk...i could somewhat you devour me and get it over with. They get eaten after a short quantity of time while their production will become low besides. - Chickens are saved in somewhat horrid situations just to provide you eggs, and that they too are eaten while productiveness slows. - your loved ones will definitely see it as a point as prolonged veganizm isn't sustainable to the human physique. for this reason they are going to see you slowly become worse previously their eyes and then seek for to accomplish an intervention utilising your steakburgers and pictures of Ashley Olsen. yet once you opt to proceed with this attempt, a minimum of be committed and do it precise. Be a vegetarian, no longer some a million/2 assed component.

I'm a lacto ovo, which doesn't eat fish meat or poultry. There are also 'semi vegetarians' but I don't belive they are, because they still eat meat.

Hey, thats cool. You dont understand that becoming a "veggie" means that you have to go all the way.
its more about eating what you think is right.
you could consider yourself "veggie" right now.
i eat meat once in a while too, so why not eat those amazing soups..?
but, if you convinced that you want to go all the way, ask you mom to use large chunks of meat, and then you can take them out of your soup when you eat it, and you still get all the flavor! trust me, it works.
EDIT:
as for your questions, I didnt really "decide". i just.. started to be more.. vegeaterian ish. NO, its not hard.

I am not a vegitarian but I know about it. Pegins can eat fish but no other meat and their is a vegitarian that can eat fish and dairy product or anything from animals but not their meat. Also thier is another but I am not sure about the name, they don't even eat fish... to me that is a REAL vegatarian because fish is animals too... DUAGH but you know people they be what ever they want to be. But you love meat, you love what your parents eat... so their is no way that you can be a vegitarian. Just be who you are an OMNIVORE it is not a sin! lol
