I don't eat any of the above if they contain *any* gelatin. But there are vegetarian substitutes for all of them.

Gelatin is boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals. I want none of that.

Im a vegan now, but when I first became vegetarian I ate that stuff. It would probably be alright to eat it if you are just becoming vegetarian, and dont want to take everything away at once. And anyway, Im not sure they kill the animals for the geletin, I think they just use the bones of the aleady dead animals......but I dont know....

There are vegan puddings out there. ZenSoy is one brand that makes a tasty chocolate pudding.

I don't eat PopTarts. I think they have gelatin in them. But you can find brands without gelatin at your local natural food store or at Whole Foods. Amy's Kitchen (www.amys.com) makes toaster pastries that can be found in the freezer section.

Many types of marshmallows have gelatin, a big no-no if you're vegetarian. Pangea (www.veganstore.com) has its own Vegan Sweets brand (but, really, they're better for mixing with something than for eating alone), and Vegan Essentials (www.veganessentials.com) carries a brand called Sweet and Sara, which is just incredible!

Gelatin is gelatin, and I don't eat anything with it, no matter how small an amount.

No I don't eat those foods. Mostly because it won't kill anyone if i eat them but it will condone the killing and or harming of an animal for me to have those kind of treats. Even though its okay for your bodies system, I feel for myself it's not okay for my conscious. Pudding has milk in it usually, poptarts have dairy and milk proteins in the frosting and the tart, marshmallows have gelatin. Gelatin is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals. Usually the left overs from slaughter houses.
But it all depends on why you became a vegetarian, if it was just for diet restrictions, the eat away. But if you did it because you wanted to be more compassionate towards animals, then, just be more conscious of the products you might be using.

No, gelatin is not vegetarian. Vegetarian do not eat any by product that is produced by killing an animal. Gelatin is made from boiled skin, bones and tendons. An animal must be slaughtered in order to obtain these ingredients.

I'm vegetarian and honestly, I would rather eat meat than all that gooey rubbish.

its not a matter of whether they contain gelatin, they just have no nutritional value and are probably minor toxins to the body.

Nope, wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole-not just because they contain animal products, but because they have modified, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, chemicals, and dyes (red food color is made from crushed cochineal beatles-google "carmine" for info) I don't eat anything that doesn't nourish my body, or anything with ingredients I can't pronounce or readily identify the source where they come from. Besides, a little gelatine? Isn't that sort of like there just being a "little" pee in the pool? I do make homemade pudding with tapioca, organic raw milk, and agave nectar. I also make homemade "poptarts" with dates, seeds and agave nectar, and fresh fruits.

Nope.
If I am really jonesing for marshmallow I get this stuff called Rice Mellow which is like fluff and made with brown rice syrup.
Poptarts are gross and terrible for you.
I never cared for pudding but they make organic gelatin-free pudding.

I don't eat anything with gelatin. Actually, I wasn't aware that poptarts had it but I have eaten them probably 10 years ago. I never liked them. Everything with gelatin is a no no for me.
