Wow there, hang on a minute.

We're told that happy cows come from Jersey or Devon ?

Perhaps we are starting to see through the fabric of thier lies.

I'm off to raise the issue with the UK Advertising Standards Authority, why don't you do the same for the USA and we can stop these lies.

Cows don't like:
Artificial incemination every year
Hormone enriched feed
Bribe/feed caged carousels
killing bulls, excess calves and free martins at 1 week old
excess feeding to produce 60 lites of milk per day
intensive rearing means low husbandry checks
removing calves from mothers after colostrum feed
killing the cow at 7 years old

I know, i've surveyed them.

= ^_^ = is right, if we are to have meat and dairy farms they should all be like that. Its an excellent link and it woudl be great if more people could support those smaller farmers for so many great reasons.

Ours is an arable farm with rescue sheep and cows. I think they are happy cows.

Probably just the ones at the organic dairys. To be fair, there are some very happy-looking cows in Marin. But for every tourist-filled organic dairy making high priced cheese, there are probably ten nasty ones with cows that are anything but happy. That's where the grocery stores get their stock.

Edit: Oh, look I found the website for the actual happy cows: http://www.marinorganic.org/mofarmers.html#robert

Scroll down. I've been to some of these and they really are nice places and nice people. All farms should be that way.

It's doubtful that California is noted for its cows. I live in the midwest, where there is a lot of farm areas. Most of the cows are from here. California should stick to its citrus crops and leave the cows where they belong. Some of the best prime steaks in the world are from the good old midwest. Both beef cattle and dairy cows are happiest in their natural habitat.

humans have screwed around with cows so much, they have made it so that they do produce milk all the time instead of, like their wild cousins, just producing it when they have youngen to feed... so now they are in a cycle of producing milk for humans t drink and whether or not they enjoy being milked, they now NEED to be milked because not being milked causes the pressure of the produced milk to build up and eventually will leak by itself to relieve pressure, or can actually rupture the udder...wow isnt man kind nice to the animals of this world?

i believe they asked 12 cows, who they knocked out and injected hormones into. Thus, forcing the cows answer through a small needle.

i HATE those ads!

they target the ignorant people of america who actually believe that "happy cows do come from california".

happy cows do NOT come from factory farms where their only purpose in life is to produce meat, milk, and cheese to clog some naive american's arteries.

I wish that PETA would have won their law suit against the Milk Advisory board to remove those ads on the account that its considered fraud and misleading. But the government is exempt from false advertising...that makes me ill
