This site is representative of the homophobic side of christianity and some people even claim that God wrote it

Homosexuality isn't a sin and it was only in the bible as a word since the 1850's I think and it replaced a whiole different word, plus the bible was wrote by people who we're not God

As for Suspendor Of Disbelief - you should look in a dictionary as homophobia is a real word with real consequences which you seem to wanna deny the very real effects of, as for normal there is no such thing as everyone is different.

As for Canutte the word wasn't either of them, plus beastiality is non-consensual unlike LBGT

Eatonwrite - I've already said that someone mistranslated a word into homosexuality in the 1850's I think. Cheers for your reply though

Edwards J - Do you think that the bible appeared in English and all the other languages too? It was translated many times and someone made an error in the 1850's.
Besides why can't the homophobic site I linked too be the word of God as people wrote that too - like the bible was wrote by people

Terminology

Homosexual

The English word homosexual is a compound word made from the Greek word homo, meaning “the same,” and the Latin term sexualis, meaning “sex.” The term homosexual is of modern origin, and it was not until about a hundred years ago that it was first used. There is no word in biblical Greek or Hebrew that is equivalent to the English word homosexual. The 1946 Revised Standard Version (RSV) New Testament was the first translation to use the word homosexual.

Sodomite

There is no word in biblical Greek or Hebrew for “sodomy” or “sodomite.” A Sodomite would have been simply an inhabitant of Sodom, just as a Moabite would have been an inhabitant of Moab, though the word sodomite does not show up in biblical Greek or Hebrew. Any translation of the Bible making use of the words sodomy or sodomite are clear interpretations and not faithful translations.

Please read the extra info as I've already destroyed the whole homosexuality = sin argument and shown that's due to a translation that suits bigots like the one who explained it again

baby20girl06 - straights can't always reproduce for various reasons but no-one calls them abominations so it's hypocritical and mean to attacks gays as abominations
Whenever there's threads that parody this homophobic attitude then there's also trolls who report thema nd do not understand how the bigotry is bad when it's aimed at them yet it's ok for them to give it out

Hi Chester,
i am asking myself if it is worth entering into discussion with anti-gay so-called 'christians'?... maybe it is, but i don't think that they listen to anything except their own hatred.

Anyone who knows anything about Jesus knows that he was a man of love and acceptance... so when the gay hating 'Christians' justify themselves by picking out isolated passages from the bible, taking them out of context, and using them without reference to the wider christian message, we can safely say that they are being un-christian. I think that these people are just gay haters who hide behind the word 'christian' and wont face up to their own fears.

It is just the same as a muslim taking an isolated passage out the quoran and using it to justify killing innocent people in the name of 'God'... it just isn't islamic to do this, just as it isn't Christian to persecute gay people.

It strikes me that anyone who is so obsessed with gay people, that they have to hate them, has something that they are running from within themselves. In other words, they can't cope with their own attraction to the same sex because society has made it so impossible for them to do so (we all know how hard it is growing up gay).
What other reason would they obsess about gays so much?

We have to remember that these idiots are just a minority (even though they are a very vocal minority), and we should carry on using our intellect and integrity to make our case and to stand tall. We are better than them.

It's a shame that the majority of decent christian folk don't vocalise their support for gay people more loudly. Unfortunately otherwise decent christians often see homosexuality as a sin so they keep quiet about it.

Its a bit like a decent muslim keeping quiet about the killing of innocent people by fundamental extremists. It's misguided.

Thank you 'eatonwrite' for your answer... it's a very beautiful thing to say... and very Christian... that's what Christians are supposed to sound like :-)
Just like Jesus... loving & accepting... it's so refreshing to hear... thanks again :-)

I haven't visited the web site but it appears extreme. But then it would be just as extreme to suggest all Christians endorse it. The bible wasn't written in 1850 hence the translation wasn't mistranslated in 1850. Romans 1:26 also speaks against the homosexual act. Edit:Listen Chester don't put words in my mouth. No one suggested the bible appeared in English. It was however tranlslated into many languages at a very early time. Moreso than any other work of antiquity. It because there are so many early translations and coies that they can compare and see if any error did arise. And there are many current translations which have come since the King James and guess what they all say prety much the same thing. You don't have to believe the bible that is your perogitive but don't kid yourself and try to invent errors that you can in no manner prove. Simpy sayn the made a mistake doesn't prove they made a mistake yo need to show which words were incorrectly tranlsted from the greek and other languages.

You're not more forgiving. But I'm guessing they didn't ask God for forgiveness. If they did, they would receive it quicker than when you gave it to them. God has rules. You can agree with them or not, but that doesn't change them. Being gay is a sin just like gossiping is a sin. Both will get you the same thing in the afterlife without the saving blood of Christ. But God does have rules against sin and these rules aren't detrimental to His loving nature. In fact, they prove His loving nature. If you have kids you probably have a long list of rules that the kids neither like nor understand. No ice cream before supper, no playing in the street, no playing with matches, etc. etc. Do you make those rules because you're a cruel parent that loves seeing your children suffer and cry? No, you make them because you love them and you know what's best for them. And even though the kids don't understand why playing with fire is bad, you know, and you enforce it.

Okay, homosexuality is called a sin (an abomination) in the Bible, but it a sexual sin just as adultery and fornication. While some are using this to promote a hate for the choices people make in life it is not Chirstian. A Christian can not be like that and be a Christian! While I do not for an instance beleive that it is okay, I do not hate those that live the homosexual lifestyle.

The best answer I have heard is hate the sin, not the sinner. I hate gambling, sexual addiction of all kinds, narcotics, alcohol, addicitons that destroy humans - but no the victums of said addictions.

Hello Chester.
As you know I am against homophobia and bashers.
You are so right with what you said.
It is sick and twisted, I wish people would wake up to themselves, When this happens the world would be a much happier place.
My mum is actually reading some book at the moment,
I think it is called Bringers of the Dawn.
And It Say's that Men are supposed to get in touch with their feminine side and Females are supposed to get in touch with their Man side. It also says that the crucifixion story did happen but not to the extent that it is written. It was changed to keep people in a control mode, mainly held by the government. The author of the book is not religious she only believes in something called the Paledians. And she is not against homosexuality she is for it.
My mum is now for homosexuality relationships after reading that book. I am so proud my mum has changed her views on this. To those people that bash Homosexuals you really do not know how kind and gentle and loving these people are.
One day who knows maybe you will be able to see them for who they truly are and not sin consuming it's place.
Even God would not be against what I just said as he wants everyone to be free thinkers and use love and tolerance for it's proper purposes.
Thanks for asking this question Chester.
It really needed to be said and I'm glad it was you.

You are right people say God wrote it, but people in Muslim Countries say God wrote the Qu'ran. In other words people say a lot, BTW Muslims are anti-Gay so why are you only attacking Christians, under Islamic Law a Homosexual is to be put to death. The Bible is quite clear that God opposes Homosexuality and that it is an abomination and those that practice it will not enter Heaven, unless they repent and turn to Jesus!
Romans 1 is clear about Gods stand on Homosexuality. the Word "dishonour" in verse 24 is the Greek word G818
ἀτιμάζω
atimazō
at-im-ad'-zo
From G820; to render infamous, that is, (by implication) contemn or maltreat: - despise, dishonour, suffer shame, entreat shamefully.
Homosexuality is a shameful act, In Galatians 5:19 the word uncleanness is G167
ἀκαθαρσία
akatharsia
ak-ath-ar-see'-ah
From G169; impurity (the quality), physically or morally: - uncleanness.Homosexuality is not condoned by God, remember He made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. He told them to be fruitful and multiply, can two Homosexuals have a child? NO it is Biologically impossible!

That site is from the most hated family in America. I saw a documentary on it a few weeks ago. I am a Christian, and although I do not believe that homosexuality is right I do not believe that God hates Gay people. They are sinners just like everyone else in the world and Jesus died for them too. The God hates Fags site is disgusting and many Christians condone it and we also know that the Bible doesn't back up what they say. God never wrote it and He never had a hand in it neither. If that was the case then the Bible would say that God hates 'Fags'. It doesn't, He doesn't and He never wrote it. Its terrible and as a Christian I am ashamed that they say its from God.

Because God's gives us all the freedom of choice for right or wrong. Some people claim to be acting on Gods behalf by what they do and say but this is clearly not the case. Christians are easily spotted by their fruits/attributes.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.

Sodom and Gomorrah was burned to the ground for the wickedness of the men that lived there - the bible also tells us "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." leviticus 18:22
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. leviticus 20:13 - what more do you want ? God made adam and eve for a specific reason - not adam and steve - if you cannot reproduce with the person of your gender then it is unatural, it is an abomination. there is no way around it and you cannot defend it - the only thing you can say is it is discrimination against your person, but the constitution or the fourteenth amendment cannot take you to heaven or save your soul, it was written by man. the bible is instruction on from God follow it and you cannot go wrong. God dosent honor same sex relationships, he loves you but he hates sin - people should think about it repent - and then find a church quick.
ps: Everyone who claims to be a christian is NOT a christian, plainly by the way they speak or their actions - if i say im a banana it surely dosent make me one, so a few bad apples spoil the bunch, but that dosent make every single apple that grows in the history of the world after that bad. get ovr it dont target christians, cuz some of us are actually living the right way - i dont say derrogatorry remarks to people about their sexuality but if you ask me im definately gonna tell you. so there it is the word my opinion and a conclusion

And what was the previous word? Sodomy? Lying with a male?

I am not a Christian, but I am homophobic, anti-gay, whatever the difference is.

Since the questioner used the words, I trust that no-one will report me.

Actually the Bible is also against bestiality. What do you say about that?

Your allegation that such conduct was not sinful and is based on a mistranslation, is nonsense. The term used in the original biblical Hebrew means lying with a male. It was certainly a sin and attracted the death penalty if the case was proven
