Condoms are very effective against the spread of STDs, but they are never truly 100% effective, especially with direct SKIN to SKIN contact STDs like herpes and HPV. Condoms can break, slip off, etc.
And, even if a condom is used it is ONLY covering the penis, not the ENTIRE genital area. This is why herpes and HPV can be spread even when condoms are used. Just the direct skin to skin contact of the genital areas during sex is enough to spread either one of these viruses.
If you are worried you might have contracted something then get tested! Better to be safe than sorry! Good luck!

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Condoms are very effective when used properly, against the spread of STD's, which generally transmit via body fluids.
As long as your wore a properly sized condom you should be fine. BTW - you as the male are on the safest end of the deal. You generally expose a female to more of your bodily fluids.
Wearing condoms is good.

With the exception of HIV in women and men and gonorrhoea in men, available evidence is insufficient to draw definitive conclusions regarding STD prevention. HIV-serodiscordant heterosexual couples that met rigorous inclusion standards. Compared with condom never-users, the estimated HIV seroconversion incidence per 100 person-years was more than five times lower among condom always-users. Reviewers concluded that consistent use of condoms results in an 80% reduction in HIV incidence.
The collective strengths and consistency of findings across four epidemiological studies demonstrated that correct and consistent condom use would reduce the risk of gonorrhea for men. Available literature does not allow an accurate assessment of the degree of protection against gonorrhea infection in women.
In summary this means that although anecdotally correctly used condoms probably reduce all STDs ( except pubic lice,) Studies have only been performed for HIV, where the risk is reduced to 20% of that of non-condom users, and gonorrhea, where men using condoms are shown to be less at risk from catching the disease from infected females.

As long as you put the condom on prior to any contact between your sexual organs and you roled it all the way down and you removed it after you should be OK. Nothing other than abstenance is 100% but as long as you follow these guidlines you should be OK.
In future you might follow advice given to me some years ago when serving abroad.
Pick your women stone cold sober
That way you will avoid putting your private parts where I wouldnt put the end of my walking stick

whilst used precise and previously their expiration date condoms are the final line of protection obtainable for STD prevention and likewise artwork effectively to stay away from being pregnant. you are able to believe them in case you employ them suited. a centred visitor speaker confirmed us that she ought to place the two certainly one of her hands as much as the elbow into an old condom previously it broke and reported, "think of how plenty safer it may be on something plenty smaller and whilst they are actually not expired."

The only thing better is abstaining from sex, and since you didn't do that at least you useda condom. If you still have doubts just go get yourself tested.
