Her throid was low as well but thats sorted now. What is the cause of the heart murmur?

There are many different kinds of heart murmurs, you'd have to ask your mum's doctor for the exact one she has. i have one where there is a flap missing on a valve in my heart giving it an irregular beat and occasionally i get palpitations. once you find out what kind it is/what the cause is you should be able to find some more information and if anything can be done to help or likely side affects.

good luck.

I believe it is the sound made by the blood as it reverses its normal flow between chambers of the heart due to a poor seal in valve. Normally the valve would prevent reverse flow, but due to deformation of the valve cusps, or enlargement of the heart, the blood is able to reverse flow and move back from the ventricle into the atrium during ventricle systole.

It would explain why she fatigues quickly during exertions as the heart cannot pump blood efficiently.

Fear, anxiety and stress. The heart is stimulated by chemical messengers through the involuntary nervous system, it is neurologically sensitive to thought via the mind/body connection. In the case of the speeding up or slowing down of heartbeat this can be affected by the autonomic nervous system which is highly susceptible to thought. To help you understand this mechanism, it would be like cutting the electrical current off to something, and then turning it back on.
Sometimes "stinkin thinkin" causes heart problems.

Mitral valve prolapse is a national epidemic, but when the fear, anxiety and stress of a person's life has been dealt with we see it disappear out of a person's life quickly. You would be surprised at what self-bitterness, self-rejection and self-hatred do to the body.

There are 3 things we must have
1. Peace with God
2. Peace with ourself
3. Peace with others.

These 3 things could cure almost every medical problem out there.

When you've given up with the doctors, call a Deliverance Ministry in your area. I use to go to the doctor first and now I go to God first like it should be.

There is no possibility of answering this question with the minimal information you have provided. You have not even mentioned they type of murmur, nor which valve was involved.
