YES THEY CAN!

I have treated several cases, but the original author is right, it is usually in excess and with other stimulants.

For example:

Case 1. 6 red bulls, 3 packs of cigarettes, 5 cups of coffee, and two boxes of vivarin

Case 2. 2 monsters and 3 "yellow jackets".

There are reports of "heart attacks" with less stimulants used than my experiences in the ER.

Use with caution!

Well.. Not by itself i don't think I heard of an incident when a teenager drank monster (the energy drink) and started to run real fast and for a period of time. He had a heart attack, so I'm guessing if you make your heart rate too unstable after drinking it.
