All cereal is fine for people with diabetes.

Start checking the carb levels and serving sizes on boxes of cereals.

You will find that some of the more "healthy " cereals have the most carbs.

Look for serving sizes with the least carbs.

You have a long way to go . I wish you the very best.

Cereal in general is not a good thing. But whole grains are better than refined cereals. Cheerios are in that category, or oatmeal. Look on the package to see if the cereal is 100% whole grain.

You should assume that your diabetes will progress. You should start getting into the right habits of diet and exercise. Even if it isn't a problem now. If you make the right habits, live as if you were seriously diabetic, you will greatly prevent the damage the disease can eventually do to your body.

You should get a blood glucose meter and start testing your blood. Every diabetic is different in what kinds of foods they can tolerate. For instance, I can eat half a potato with no ill effects but half a cup of rice spikes my blood sugar. I can have an apple before I go out on my walk, but a banana sends my blood sugar off the chart, even with exercise. I know these things from testing. But we're all different.

If cereal in the morning makes your blood sugar rise above, say, 160 or so, you should find something else to eat.

Yes there are.

Learn to read the labels and look for the sugar and carbohydrate numbers as well as the serving size and avoid all trans fat. Whole grain cereal is good for you as well cereals with a high fiber content.

Plain oatmeal is healthy as well as others.

You should take a diabetes education class where part of the program usually involves the services of a dietitian.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Shredded wheat is the best, but cheerios or cornflakes ,oatmeal, cream of wheat,re all good. Cereal is good for a diabetic, I have been one for 20 yrs,and am followed closely by an endocrinologist and a nutritionist. Breaksast is an important meal so don't have coffeecake or donuts, but a breakfast that will keep you going till a snack.

Actually there are several brands of ceral that are availbe just for diabetics. However out of the ones commonly available I would go with Kashi. But the thing is portion control and sugar.Avoid the sugar and control your portions. If you don't mind eating one teapson of ceral as your meal, you could even have Sugar Smacks, but that wont be very filling. ;)
But Kashi is a good cold ceral with many varieties.
