i already have an appt with my doctor; but, of course, unless it's an emergency, i have some weeks to wait for the appt.
what possibilities could it be for this comfort?
when i breathe in deeply, it hurts. and it feels like as if the upper left side is a little more swollen (raised) than the right.

It could be several things... but seriously go to your doctor before you start asking people here that have no clue.

No it does not. Once a person becomes saved they joyfully obey all the commandments because they can see the sense in them. Most of the commandments deal with how we treat other people and anyone who wishes to be treated well by others should also want to treat others well, and that should be the same saved or unsaved. Some deal with how we behave towards God so saved people would have no problems with those either. The commandments are there for our good not because God is a killjoy. The commandments were not done away with by Jesus but He did condense the 10 into 2 but these 2 still cover all the same points. By obeying the 2 you still obey the 10. If you've read about them you will know exactly what I mean.

If you're really concerned, see if you can get in sooner or see another doctor. I used to have chest pains from too much caffeine and stress. Try cutting out caffeine and take some potassium pills, which are good for the heart. Or try eating potassium rich foods such as bananas or potatoes. It could be something other than your heart, but it can't hurt to try it.

go visit ur doc though chances of it being of heart origin is less.
pain of heart attack or an attack of angina is also mostly located on the left side sometimes radiating to the left shoulder and left hand.......sometimes to the left side of the jaw too.
if this pain can be pointed out just by one finger then it is not a heart pain for sure but if this pain needs the whole hand to be point out then the chances of MI or angina is high.
generally heart pain or angina is associated with feeling of high pressure over chest, sweating, feeling uneasy.

dont panic. visit ur doc.

OR ELSE try bengay if its a muscle pain.

In the meantime, call that doctor back again and tell him what you just told me. You didn't stress to him or his appointment taker, the seriousness of your pain. If you can't convince the doctor to take you sooner, try getting help in an emergency room immediately. I don't know what to tell you about such pain, but I feel sympathy for you. This, of course, won't help you feel better so please take my advice. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

Sounds just like gas. I would get it checked out, are you a smoker? If so it is not uncommon to get pains in that area. And your heart is actually located in the center of the body above the stomach and its shape move out to the left side of the body.

You may, i hope not though, have some cardiac problems. I dont understand why do you have to wait for weeks for the appointment. Go for a check up at any city hospital straight away.

I think i'd go ahead & get in w/another dr. I had this too, both the staying & the temporary kind which could be heartburn or gas.

the staying kind , the old timers called it "plurisy" or infection , i had infection in one of my lungs, & i couldnt hardly breathe, i was 17 & they took me to the e/r , i'd hurt so badly.I couldnt straighten up, & had been fighting it.
