Have you tried a netty pot? It's a way of natural sinus irrigation.

I've had non-allergic rhinitis for years and this does help. You have to use it regularly, though. I think Walgreens carries them.

Hot liquids, cayenne pepper, raw onion help get mucus flowing. Avoid dairy foods except soured ones like cottage cheese and yogurt. Steam, warm compresses. menthol packs to relieve pain. Ice packs may work for you too (apply packs to sinus area).

Do not use too much force when blowing nose. This book says to do that nasty hacking sound then spit the mucus out. I don't do that and I've ended up with sinus infections when I blow too hard, so maybe I should take my own advice.

It says swab Bitter orange oil in nasal passages for local relief. Don't know where to find that, but if you do, try it.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Try a warm wash cloth over your face, or better yet a warm pack, like thermacare. Take it off after about 15 minutes.
