I noticed some small bumps on my vagina but i thought it was just ingrown hair but i have been having discharge for a while now and I just got my period and the bumps got worse, ( they are really itchy) I had unprotected sex with someone that I didn't know was checked for an STD or not, I'm actually scared to death that this is Herpes or something and I feel absolutly disgusting. I'm only 16, so if its herpes I plan on running myself over with train. I also read on a site similar to this that having sex with a yeast infection can cause small bumps and I also think that may be it. Also does having sex on your period have anything to do with anything?

Herpes is NOT the end of the world believe me! There are much worse things out there like HIV/AIDS. I personally contracted BOTH genital herpes and HPV when I was 17 years old. Soon after I was diagnosed I developed cervical cancer from my HPV, but I'm still here and still fighting!
The only way to know what you have for sure is to see a doctor and have them take a look at you. They can offer/provide proper treatment for you. It's better to be safe than sorry! Good luck to you!

I would like to start off by saying I am completely fed up with the rude and inappropriate answers people post to important questions. If you do not have valuable knowledge of any sorts to answer with DO NOT POST ON THE QUESTIONS. It is rude and very disrespectful, yet annoying. It is a very good idea to go to the doctor so I second those opinions. I to get itchy sometimes around my period time but not VERY itchy. Never try medications just incase its not that problem. It could be an STD or a yeast infection or simply how your body reacts around the time of your period. If the yeast infection medication didnt work and its sticking around than just go to your clinic or doctor and get a urine and blood test done for STDs the results take one week and it is all confidential. Alot of clinics offer free treatment as well but i dont know about where you live. A call could never hurt :). Yeast infections usually clear up over time as far as i know so i dont think you would have it for a year. Just got get checked to put your mind at ease :). I dont want to seem disrespectful to everyone who commented before me, not everyone was rude at all. Just those few who commented. Best of luck.

Could be genital herpes. Its best to see a physician. Yeast infections dont give you bumps. I've had yeast infections before and never had small bumps. If you said they were red, more than likely it his herpes. They itch something bad and when you urinate it burns. You should really read up on your sexual health.

I have been battling this issue only 3 times in my life. But every time I had it, it got worse and couldn’t get rid of it unless I got a prescription from jy doctor, took the tablets many times… I’ve tried everything.
Finally had a learning experience last week. My Shaklee distributor recommended garlic tablets and I said, heck why not. You’ve got to try this! Instructions and suggestions are on this website http://www.completeproductline.com/webpage.asp?id=87 Good luck, and feel well soon.

NOT a yeast infection. It sounds like herpes to me. Go to the doctor to have it diagnosed. Sorry, but you gotta do it.

Go to the doctor to find out. It's not as bad as it seems. It could be something simple like an allergic reaction to a new fabric softner. Oh, and condoms don't protect against herpes. So you really should not be having sex with randoms. And if you are worried about your parents finding out, the doctor can't tell them.

Too many thing too say. Go get checked out it could be nothing or it could be treatable (usually if you catch it early).
Also having sex on your period is has nothing to do with it.
Unless you talking about your boyfriend or sumtin you shouldn't be having sex with people you dont know.
