the brown fuzzy stuff on a kiwi? is it normal to eat it?

Yes! Eat the skin if you like the taste. You can't really taste it anyways. I'm sure there's fiber and other nutrients in it--that's where most of the nutrients come from in all the other fruits. It's perfectly healthy to eat it. It just depends if you like it or not.

If the kiwi skin has a ticket, I will seat him. If not, sorry no.

Even when I get the kiwi a seat, he usually rolls right out of the chair.

Actually the Kiwi should be eaten with the skin on!! You should gently brush the bristles off and slice.
The fruit should be firm not mushy and when bitten it has a crispness to it.

No you're not supposed to eat it. The easy way to eat a kiwi would be to cut it in half and eat the center with a spoon.

yes, it is safe to eat. and for your own mouth's comfort you should rub off the furry-ness..it comes right off.you can eat the smooth skin under it..if you like it. personally, i peel my kiwis! unless i'm making a smoothie with kiwi in it..then i put the whole kiwi in the blender :o) xoxox

I just read about this in a magazine--the skin is safe to eat, if you don't mind the texture.

It's safe to eat it, if that's what you mean. I sometimes do, just because I'm too lazy to peel it. It's not that good, but it's OK to eat it.

my sister eats it i've never tried to too fuzzy for me just like a peach i have to peel it
