For the past week, my boyfriends been complaining he doesn't feel well, he's 18 and really asthmatic so i suggested he went to the doctors, but being a lad he refused and said he'd be fine.
He's really tired all the time, and when he is tired he can't sleep because he wakes up coughing, really wheezy and has nasty stabbing pains in his chest.
He gets the pains throughout the day and they really take his breath away, its scary. He's also complained hes been feeling a little sick too.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Am i worrying over nothing or should i make the doctors appointment for him??

sounds to me like some sort of chest infection .i have had several including pneumonia but it certainly does not sound all that bad. he needs to go to the doctor and get some assesed and probably some antibiotics .asthmatics are more prone to chest infections however it could also be a mild asthma attack .tell him he really really needs to go and yes i would suggest you make him an appointment at his doctors good luck

He has a bad chest infection.Get him to the doctor ASAP.
Needing antibiotics.he should be resting with this. He is putting a strain on his heart when he is struggling to breath. If he is really bad the Doctor will give him Steroids this will really help him.Tell him he should be taking more care of himself as asthma can be very dangerous if not looked after properly. Let him see this message.DON'T BE DAFT MAN!!
get to the Doctor right away.

It sounds like a chest infection. I suggest you make the appointment. It might not be anything to worry about, but it's better to be safe than going through the pain and worry. Good luck

He could have pneumonia, bronchitis, or a major asthma attack in the making. Tell him to stop being a macho ninny and get to the doctor before he gets wheeled into the emergency room. Don't be his mother, he has one of those, simple tell him to get smart and make an appointment before it's too late.
Asthma is nothing to fool around with, millions of people die each year from complications related to it. I know, I have it.

I think he needs to get checked out, but you should be careful not to "Mummy" him. Tell him you would appreciate him going to the Doctor to make sure everything is OK because you care enough to worry. Hopefully that will do the trick. Good luck!

Make the appointment, it could be serious or not, either way he needs to be checked out by a doctor whether he wants to or not.

You're right to worry, book him an appointment. If its nothing then at least you know and you can stop worrying, and if its something, then at least you made the first step to sort it out.
