Shortness of breath, that feels like suffocating; you will make a constant whistling sound (wheezing); your chest is tight and may begin to get sore from trying to breathe so hard.

I feel very tight in my chest when I breathe. I also make a whistling sound when I am having an attack. I feel like someone has me by the neck and is sitting on my chest. You should be more concerned about not having it checked out then what the findings are.

Do you wheeze? Does taking a breath sometimes feel impossible to do? Does your breathing problem trigger after certain events like outside activity? If yes to one of these, go to the doctor.

Brianna, it feels like you are trying to breathe in a plastic bag. You cannot pull air into your lungs and when you do, you cannot let it escape your lungs. Your lungs ache and you wheeze and slow down a lot. Walking when you normally would run.
