Here in Greece they eat lots of organ meats and entrails, I like them as kokoretsi but I don't like mayiritsa (organ and entrail soup eaten the night before Easter). I also don't like spleen (though I like liver), my mother-in-law used to make it for me because I was supposedly anaemic but I had to close my nose and swallow it unchewed. I do eat snails, which some people think yucky. I love cauliflower and brussels sprouts (for those here who say they hate them, the secret is not to overcook them or they get smelly, really fresh cauliflower can even be eaten raw in a salad with mayonnaise). I used to hate okra (ladies' fingers, bindhi) because of the slime, until one day I figured the Good Lord must have made them for a reason and I decided to actually try them. I made gumbo ya-ya. Since then I cook them in various ways two or three times a year when they're in season. I have tried some "exotic" meats such as crocodile, emu, 'roo, but I would refuse to eat anything in danger of extinction. Apart from endangered species, my advice is to try anything at least once, just make sure it's been prepared properly so it's at its best.

Liver pretty much does it for me.... I tried to be open and tried it several times....but the taste and texture is nasty...... think about it....an organ that removes waste from the animal...and some want to serve it to me....eeewwww, nasty nasty nasty. Too many other good things in this world to eat. I pass on internal organs.

Oysters, especially raw ones (that look like something someone hacked up from the throat!).
Caraway seeds - a good way to spoil Reuben sandwiches and rye bread!

I wouldn't say I "hate" caviar, but caviar is certainly not one's typical PB&J sandwich. I tried it a few times before I found out it was raw fish eggs. Now, just the thought of eating unborn fish repulses me.

any kind of fish. Except tuna. I like tuna to an extent. If i tell you why you'll laugh. Ok I'll tell you. My mom never told me it was tuna fish when I was little. So I thot it was just another lunch meat. But by the time I found out I already liked it. We don't eat fish in my family. Grew up that way. So still to this day I won't eat fish. Except tuna. HAHAHHA

two foods I'll never eat again-
Durian fruit (smells like rotten baby diapers),
and Swedish salty black licorice. Europeans seem to like it but it tastes like a bicycle tire dipped in sugar-icky!

Tofu (the texture makes me gag) and black licorice. Though I do want to try Chinese stinky tofu... just to say I tried it.

Steak. Call me insane, crazy, stupid, whatever. I just f***ing hate it. It takes forever to chew it and it doesn't even taste that good. It's almost a chore to eat it.
