The shortness of breath could very well be due to a condition called exercised induced asthma. This often times causes chest pain after any type of exercise or stress. The dizziness may be due to a decrease in blood pressure upon rising from a lying position. I would suggest trying to get him to a pulmonary specialist. Just curious, why no insurance now?

I strained a heart valve once. Walking slow made me breathe fast, and I was immediately tired. I took two weeks off of work and just rested. Then I started a very slow exercise program. I used my treadmill slow enough I did not breathe hard. I used a heart rate monitor, and kept going as long as my heart rate stayed the same. When it started to go up, I slowed down and stopped. Week by week I could do a little bit more.
Try this plan. If it does not work, there is more wrong that has not been identified. Hopefully, rest and a careful exercise therapy plan will get him back to normal. It may take many months. It did for me. I fully recovered and was very fit in a year.

I have the same thing sometimes! I am 12. He may just have a really low stamina. Or some form of athsma. Or he could have an anxiety disorder. Even if he does not FEEL anxious it is quite possible. I wouldnt worry too much. If the doctors have ruled out any critical illness, he should be ok. If it becomes bothersome or severe, take him to another doctor. You may not have insurance, but isnt your sons health more important?

I have asthma, and I have difficulty breathing, not necessarily a pain in my chest, unless I am having a full blown attack. A drink of water does not relieve it as I have to take 4 different medications to get relief. Your pain may be some type of digestive problem. And yes, you can have chest pains from stomach problems.

Ask the doctor this question, may be he will guide you, at the same time contact another insurance agent and discuss with him first. Might be he can give you a clue.
