Who cares how popular you are!!! Have a huge blow out if that's what you want. Invite the people you like, and have a great time. This is a big deal birthday, and you only have 2 more that are good! 18, and 21, so have a blast! And happy birthday!

Well, first of all I wish you a happy birthday but I do have a horror story about my own sweet 16. I wasn't popular either, but I was smart so all the "cool click" wanted to at least know me for that, but did NOT want to hang out with a geeky looking, skinny as a rail, dirty blonde w/ absolute zero figure. Well, I had most of their phone numbers in my address book for those occasional homework questions. My mom snitched my address book & called all those "cool" kids to a surprise party.......She invited about 25 or 30 people & only 1 showed up - & that was my own cousin!! I was mortified, but learned the truth to the old saying "What comes around, goes around".......5 or 6 years after graduation, after turning out to be a "late bloomer", all those hot guys that didn't even look me in the face in school were dying to ask me out......I enjoyed quite a few nice dinners & learned that we all grew up a little!!
Do what you feel like, not what anyone else wants you to do.....Happy Birthday!

Hey, I wasn't popular either, but when I threw a party to celebrate my thesis submission, people still came and we whooped it up. A party's a party's a party's a party... free food and drink will attract just about anyone.
Funny thing was, my best friend wasn't at that party. She was not just not-popular, but decidedly unpopular, which may have been the reason we had so much fun. Plus my brother, the clown, was there.

Just have an awesome party with your friends, people who really like you not people who just want to take advantage of the money your parents will be spending!
Make it an exclusive thing.
