Define cure. Which diabetes are you talking about?

Type 1 is absolutely not curable. It is caused by organ failure. Scientists are working on repairing the organ, but that is experimental.

Type 2 is caused by insulin resistance. While all kinds of theories are going around as to what causes it, the treatment lies in managing diet, weight, and exercise. If done properly, many folks are able to avoid medication. If this fits in your definition of "cure", then there's your answer. There is no cure that will allow you to continue the lifestyle that brought it on... i.e.: poor diet, poor weight management, and/or lack of exercise.

No kind of diabetes is cureable (although GD will often go away on its own). Type 1 is an autoimmune disease that means your pancreas is dead and can't be brought back to life! Type 2 is often caused by lifestyle, so an improvement in lifestyle can improve bloods to a point where you don't need treatment for a while but it's a degenerative dissorder and once you have it you can't get rid of it, eventually whatever you do with your lifestyle, you'll need treatment for it again. Sorry that's prob not what ya wanted to hear, but ya can live with diabetes - I've had type 1 since I was 14 and am currently in Kathmandu! Don't let it stop you living your life xx

I have it, I wish it could be cured IT CANT Not yet there are a number of possibilities being looked at with various approaches from insulin implants to Pancreas transplants but none of them are yet looked upon as more than maybes that require a lot lot more testing, research, and trials.
There are two types of Diabetes
Type One is usually found in children
Type Two normally develops later in life
It cant really be treated it can be controlled by three methods,
Diet
this means watching the type and amount of food eaten its not just down to sugar intake its also the types of food like fats and products can turn into sugars.
Diet and Tablets
this is as above but also taking medication to control the amount of sugar available in the blood
Diet and Insulin (injection)
Again to control blood sugars

People with type One normally go straight to Injections as their Pancreas is not producing any insulin therefore they need injections to replace it in the body

Type Two Diabetics can often produce a limited amount of Insulin but their body requires addittional help. Sometimes it gets worse therfore the diet isnt enough or the tablets and Diet are not helping enough so Injections are the final solution

Diabetes is not curable, no matter what people try to tell you. You can manage it with diet exercise and insulin. sometimes other medications are needed for type 2 diabetics, however there is no cure.

There is a lot of stuff on the internet that is basically fat-shaming diabetics for causing their own diabetes with their bad diet and lack of exercise and general lack of moral fibre. A lot of this stuff is written by non-doctors, often with a supplement or diet or training plan to sell that they claim will completely cure diabetes if only people stick to it.
I read this interesting book https://tr.im/iferp that gave me a lot of useful tips about my disease and also a different perspective on the best therapeutical approach. I think you should read it too.
