sometimes I feel really light headed and tired but other times i can just tell that im feeling cruddy so i'll drink juice (usually cranberry) and after that i'll be fine until later. But lately i've been drinking a lot of water and it seems like i just can't quench my thirst, anybody who's diabetic that wouldn't mind sharing there symptoms and how they knew they were diabetic would be nice.

It is not a good idea assume that you have a disease condition depending on some symptoms. Consult your doctor and have some blood work done.

You have received good advice. Sometimes there is no symptoms at all.

Your being tired and cruddy is a sign. It may be a symptom of many other things, or it may mean nothing. Your feeling better is an indication that you MAY have diabetes.

Your Doctor will order some tests for you. It will probably include or emphasize the glucose tolerance test.

IF you are diagnosed with diabetes put yourself under the care of a specialist in diabetes, an endocrinologist.

Good luck. I hope that you do not have diabetes but if you follow directions it can be managed.

Frequent thirstiness, frequent urinating, dizziness(when your sugar gets too low) are just some of the symptoms. Thats what made me first check my blood sugar. Always thirsty, getting up every2 hours it seemed to go to the bathroom. I didn't know I was diabetic but it kinda runs in my family so my mom had me test my sugar with her machine and it was like 285 or something like that. It's supposed to be down around 70-90. With my meds if my sugar drops too far then I run into hypoglycemia and ,yes have to have a juice drink to bring it back up. If you have access to a blood meter test yourself.Please. Or have your doctor do a blood test for it but don't let it go on. Right now I'm taking pills .If I had let it go I'd be taking shots instead. Please get it checked.

I was really thirsty, and went to the bathroom a lot. that is the most common symptoms. however just go to your Dr. and ask to be tested. all its takes is 15 minutes a blood and urine sample to run. Its the best way to know whats going on.
