Ask your doctor!Until then the smart thing to do is watch you carbohydrate and sugar intake.Try eating a healthy protein breakfast instead of cereals .Learn the glycemic index for your favorite foods, and cook with healthy oils such as olive or virgin co-co nut oil. Supplement with an Essential Fatty Acid such as Flax seed oil or flax seeds.
Avoid most white foods except for eggs and cauliflower. White foods meaning bleached white flour. Use whole grain instead, even for pasta. A diet such as The Zone or South Beach will give you some healthy ideas.
There are also some medications that can be prescribed for Syndrome X or pre-diabetes if you care to go that route.
Also cinnamon supplements are supposed to help regulate glucose levels.
If you do not have one already, you may purchase an inexpensive glucose meter at the pharmacy and just check your glucose levels from time to time to see how different foods affect you.
Exercise will do wonders for your glucose levels and over all health. Especially cardio workouts. They work your heart and get everything flowing. Nothing drastic. Just enjoy awalk around the neighborhood. This may help you de-stress as well. Stress plays havoc with you glucose as well.
I can't guarantee you will never develop diabetes , but this is a healthy start!
Best Wishes... I work with diabetics daily.

Pre diabetes is a term that is no longer used by people current on diabetes research and treatement. It is like saying you are pre pregnant. Either you are or you aren't. If your M.D. is diagnosing you as pre diabetic, switch to an M.D. current on research and treatement. Current Research shows, Damage from Diabetes is accumulative, and non reversable. You can slow the progression, that is all. A person with Moderate Diabetes will accumulate body damage at a moderate rate, A person with Severe Diabetes will accumulate damage at a Severe Rate. The sooner you are diagnosed with Diabetes and start treatment, the less damage you will accumulate to your body. So far, only one cause of Diabetes (Chemical Exposure) has been scientifically proven. DNA scientist and Geneticist have not been able to find a scientifically accepted heriditary link. Families with many siblings often only have one or none of the siblings developing Diabetes. It does not follow the accepted laws of Genetics. Same with weight gain and bad diet. People assume weight is the cause because weight has been linked to other health problems. There is a link, but it is not known if weight gain is a symptom or cause or side effect of what is causing Diabetes. The research based on sound scientific principals has not been done. So to answer your questions, have a glycated hemoglobin or HbA1c test to see if you do or do not have Diabetes. If you do start treatement and go on a Diabetic Diet right away.

You can prevent or postpone the onset of diabetes by doing a number of things.

First. Loose weight if you are now overweight.

Second. Eat a healthy diet. Meat no more than twice a week. Lots of fruits and vegetables. High fiber. Fish three or more times a week. Watch the carbs.

Third. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day five times a week. See your doctor for clearance.

Fourth: Watch the portion size.

Fifth. See an endocrinologist. He is a doctor who specializes in the treatment of diabetes. There are new procedures and medicines all he time. An endocrinologist attends professional meetings about diabetes and keeps up with the latest developments.

Sixth. For a number of years diabetes experts and dietitians believe that you can eat some sugar since it is necessary for your body and even cake and candy as long as you do not overdo it and you reduce calories in other ways that day.

It is good that you are asking now about diabetes. Good luck.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

With the newer types of insulin these days, diabetic diets aren't necessarily as restrictive as they used to be. Read here https://tr.im/ZPtKr
As with any medicine or diet change, you should discuss it with your doctor. Fruits, both fresh and dried, have a natural sugar in them that will raise blood sugar levels, so be careful about eating too much. Not sure about the nuts. Moderation is always the key. I've been diabetic for 18 years and just recently changed insulin types. I love it because it gives me more freedom in when and what I eat.
