Well some people are only lactose intolerant if they stop drinking milk for long periods of time then start again...their bodies have to adjust to the lactose levels. If you could handle milk before you might just have to bare with the upset stomaches and keep drinking milk until you body gets used to it...if you truely are intolerant...drink silk brand milk...its really tasty and lactose free and comes in vanilla flavor!

Here's a list of calcium rich food -

Why would you need to worry about Calcium intake, especially if you're eating a diverse diet?

You can take a dietary supplement - Lact-Aid which contains the enzyme, lactase, to help you digest the milk sugars. Also, there is Lact-Aid milk which has been treated with lactase.

Also, there's calcium fortified OJ and calcium supplements. Tofu has a fair bit of calcium since Calcium Sulfate is used to coagulate the soy milk.

You can buy Lactaid milk, but I find it too sweet.
What I do, is use the Lactaid pills before I consume dairy products. So if I'm having pizza or lasagne, I take the pills before the meal, and then can have milk as a drink then as well.
Try soy milk, too. Some of them are pretty good.

If your lactose intolerant then you shouldn't or couldn't be eating dairy yogurt. Try soy milk, rice milk or oat milk.

You said you are lactose, a disaccharide sugar C12H22O11.

You also mentioned that you are tolerant. It is good that you are tolerant.

I have noticed that sugar discrimination is a problem.

When I go to the store the brown and white sugar is segregated.

It is good to hear that lactose has decided to break from sugar discrimination.

well i know there is milk that is lactose free. but there are also soy, rice, and nut milks if you wanted to get away from milk. i personally love almond milk by blue diamond. the chocolate tastes like regular chocolate milk.

Horizon makes a organic milk for without lactose. If your store carries Horizon products they can get it for you. My local Kroger carries it.
On the calcium, you have been snookered. Dairy is not the BEST way to get it.
