Why are you worried about phytoestrogen from soy when you are drinking cow's milk which is full of actual animal horomones that affect you directly? These are horomones that induce things like lactation and higher body fat. Sound pleasant?

People will always say vegetarians are "less manly" and it has nothing to do with their diets. Psychologically, people think of a "perfect man" as being this meat eating, John Wayne acting cowboy character. A diet's just a result of a person's character, not the other way around.
Let me spout out some names for you:
Woody Harrelson
Alec Baldwin
Richard Gere
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
Orlando Bloom
Steve Vai
Joaquin Phoenix (You know, the evil Emporer guy from Gladiator)
River Phoenix
Lenny Kravitz
Eric Stolz
Michael J Fox
The list goes on and on and on.... These are just some of the most attractive celebrities people have drooled over for the past 30 years or so. They all happen to be vegetarians!
You've seen them all on TV or in movies at some point in time and no one can argue that any of them look less manly due to their diets. Richard Gere even leaves most women I've met blushing and giddy at just the thought of him.

The low sperm count is a myth. In fact eating foods high in testoserone actually results in low motility for sperm. Soy does not increase estogen. It contains phyto-estrogens which block estrogen level as a means to level out the amount of estrogen in the body. This was one of the myths put out by the American Dairy Association back in the late 80's early 90's. In reality milk, chicken, and steak contain higher quantities of estrogen because all the animals killed for these meats are female. Turkey can come from either and veal is strictly male calves. If you still aren't convinced here is a list of vegetarian atheletes.

Meat is not special.
You may lose weight, but that's stuff that doesn't belong in the 1st place. If you want to remain a stocky american man, just eat alot of nuts, oils, desserts, beer, etc.
- bryydir, Your post is a good reason to NOT eat meat.

hey, im a vegetarian and you can stay healthy by eating eggs and nuts you need the protien from them. but becoming a vegetarian to lose weight will not work as most vegetarians are known to be over-weight as they dont consider eating healthy foods as much they turn to chocolate and crisps alot for snacks. hope this helps :)

to be honest..
it took a BIG man to admit this.
vegetarians so do not have low anything... stop listening to the propaganda...
a well balanced diet of a vegetarian is good enough to sustain you and anything you create.
all diets have trouble if they're not well balanced.. so um... why haven't they said that meat eaters also suffer the same issues as everyone else? hum.. must be more anti vegetarian propaganda.
shakes head.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=vegetarian
people have got to let folks live their lives and not use scare tactics..
if folks aren't listening to the marijunana scare tactics like men growing boobs and girls growing penises... why is the tactics of the anti vegan/vegetarian propaganda being taken into light?
no.. doesn't work.
if you get the minerals and vitamins... and vegetables, fruits, beans.. nuts... herbs.. are so jam packed with vitamins and minerals you'll have no trouble creating little kids who will be strong enough.. and you're old baby making device will not have any trouble producing the sperm and testosterone to make any of this possible.
you will not have regrets... believe me.
find out about minerals and vitamins..

It will depend on the fruit or veggie linked to a comparison. If perhaps you compare a n to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. When you compare an avocado to the carrot, then this avocado is better. The two the apple and avocado, are fruits.
