sometimes i get pains in my heart.
like a stabbing pain.
and it makes it hard to breathe too.
what do you think is wrong with me?!?
the pains last for about thirty seconds to one minute.
some people have said that i might have a hole in my heart.
but I haven't had a pain for about a month.
can you just tell me what might be wrong??

first off, unless the people that tell you about the hole in your heart are medical professionals, then ignore them. No one can tell you with ANY amount of certainty, what it is that causes this pain you describe, until you go to a doctor and have an EKG, or an ECG. This is the only way to be certain. People try to self-diagnose medical problems all the time, to no avail. By the time they decide to give up and go see a doctor, the problem has been exacerbated by the delay in medical treatment. Stop guessing, stop listening to your unlicensed medical advice giving friends, and go see a doctor! It could be something as simple as pleuracy. You may have some malformation in your heart muscle. It could be a form of angina, that gets worse when you're more active, then goes away when you sit or lie down. Whatever the case, you're never going to know, nor will it ever be fixed/healed/managed unless you go to a doc. good luck

It could just be anxiety or stress. It could even be chondritis, a swelling of cartilage in the chest that can cause sharp pain and a feeling of "fullness" in the chest, almost as if it's hard to breathe but not quite restricting your breathing. I've had chest pain caused by both issues but the chondritis is the one that usually causes me the most discomfort. It typically occurs when the air is moist (at least for me) such as after a rainy spell.

you don't mention your age, but it sounds more like a panic disorder than a heart problem. If there were something wrong with your heart, the pain would not go away that quickly, it would be constant and it would just get worse and worse. The sudden short and occasional bursts you describe are consistant with panic disorder.
